Saunders Fine Arts Photography - Sawyer Portrait Painting Photo Shoot

Some fun outtakes of a photo shoot I did for artist Patrick Saunders for a head and shoulders portrait he has been commissioned to do of this adorable little girl Sawyer.

I photographed her on Easter Sunday, and she showed up to the Eva Reynolds Fine Art Gallery with her pony and rabbit ears, in her beautiful new Easter dress. Too cute for words. It's been quite an education learning how to photograph people for Patrick's paintings. What makes a good portrait photograph, and what makes for good photographic reference for a portrait painting, are two very different things.
