Saunders Fine Arts POTD - The Red Lion Westminster - London, England

The Red Lion.

This site in Westminster has been a tavern of some kind since the Middle Ages, and a watering hole for politicos, due to its proximity to Downing Street and the UK Parliament. Everyone from Charles Dickens to Sir Winston Churchill is said to have tossed back a drink here.

It's mainly a tourist destination now, but with its classic pub decor and cozy feel, The Red Lion is a good place to wash down your first steak and ale pie with a decent beer.
