Saunders Fine Arts POTD - National Adopt A Shelter Pet Day

For #NationalAdoptAShelterPet day, here's an image of one thousands of adoptable dogs I have photographed who especially tugged at my heart.

Gypsy the collie mix was scared and shy at the shelter, afraid even to look directly at me or the camera, but oh so gentle and sweet. She was adopted, fortunately.

There are so many like her in shelters everywhere who would make wonderful additions to any family. - Kimberly

Saunders Fine Arts POTD - Sunrise at Dana Point Harbor, Dana Point, California

For #ThrowbackThursday, a foggy sunrise on Dana Point Harbor in Dana Point, California

We've enjoyed quite a few sunrises at this beautiful harbor in the last few years while Patrick Saunders did paintings there for Laguna Plein Air Painters Association painting invitationals, and we hope we'll get to enjoy more this October, as Patrick has been invited back again. Fingers crossed this great event will happen this year.

Saunders Fine Arts POTD - Koreatown, Manhattan, New York

#TakeMeBackTuesday to Koreatown, Manhattan.

This is the first summer we won't be back to visit a city we used to call home, and one that somehow still feels like home whenever we are there.

Fingers crossed for next year. Hard to go so long without a good dose of art, architecture, and great pizza. And yes, summer is still our favorite time of year in New York, because all the right people are gone. 😊

Saunders Fine Arts POTD - The Tate Britain, London, England

The Tate Britain dome, and bomb damage on its west wall.

One of the things that struck me most about London during our trip there last fall was the number of buildings with bombing damage that has not been repaired, as a reminder of World War II. - Kimberly

For #ThrowbackThursday, the Café Campana at the Musée d'Orsay just before opening. This bistro and Le Restaurant are works of art in themselves, in a building that is a piece of art, renovated to house great art.
