#TakeMeBackTuesday to the Petit Palais Musée des Beaux-arts de la Ville de Paris.
I was more drawn to the art of the architecture even than to the paintings inside. This is a view of the central dome of the museum from its beautiful outdoor courtyard and garden. It has a ship sculpture (Emile Peynot?) that represents the coat of arms of Paris, and amazing round stained glass windows by Louis-Charles-Marie Champigneulle.
There is so much to see and appreciate just in this courtyard, let alone the rest of the building by Charles Girault. Definitely a wonderful place to pause and take in art and architectural history. - Kimberly
